Hollywood mega-star Sean Penn has filed for separation from his wife of 13 years, for the second time in recent years. Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn were married on April 27, 1996 and have two children Dylan and Hopper Jack. The couple briefly separated in December of 2007, but reconciled a few months later in April of 2008. This will be the second divorce for Sean Penn who was briefly married to Madonna from 1985 to 1989.

Madonna has filed an appeal after being denied the right to adopt a young girl named Mercy from the impoverished country Malawi. The appeal is set to be heard before a three judge panel in Malawi on May 4th. The case will not be heard publicly, as that is the standard procedure for cases that involve infants in Malawi.
