The night starts off with the Real Housewives of New York Reunion and let’s just say in true franchise fashion it promises to be explosive. In fact, one housewife Alex McCord told the media that the filming of the reunion took an exhausting seven hours because the ladies went from one squabble to another. 

Just when you think it is safe to turn off your TV, a new series the Real Housewives of New Jersey airs right after the fight filled New York Reunion. Critics are all a buzz about the new season, some calling it the best of the entire franchise. So, don’t forget to set your Tv to Bravo tonight so you can indulge in one of America’s guiltiest pleasures.

• Halter top necklines: These necklines will become popular going with the woman who is tall. The diagonal running to the neck divides the shoulders and makes them look broader. This makes the waistline appear smaller and the gives a ’swan like’ look to the neck. Traditional V-cut apparels charm the attention to the bust.

• Asymmetrical handkerchief and jagged hemlines: They are back in style. They give a fresh and new look in mid calf length, but they also make the legs appear shorter. Similarly jagged skirts break the line of the leg and give them a shorter look. Petite women should avoid these patterns. This pattern should be worn with fewer jags where the highest and lowest part of the hemline is only couple of inches apart. The hemlines should be of mini skirt, or knee length.

• Flowing skirts: Flowing skirts in chiffon, silk and cotton, are showing up everywhere in the season; especially in floral prints and sherbet-hued solids. Empire waisted baby doll dresses suppress short women and give them the ’school girl’ look. Form fitting chiffon dresses will be in vogue without using yards of fabric.

• Loose strips: Strips of fabric and ribbon are to be seen all over dresses this season, hanging from the waist, and shoulders. But this style would not suit women with shorter height as it will make them look bulk and heavier.

The birth of Barbie was Ruth Handler’s idea, as she watched her daughter Barbara play with dolls giving them an adult persona. The “problem” was that most dolls during the mid 20th century were infants so kids could play mommy. There was not a doll out there that represented an adult woman, so Mrs. Handler decided to create a doll with physical characteristics of a grown lady. Some criticized her during this time, but a true legend was born- Barbie, named after Handler’s daughter Barbara.

Over the course of her life, she has an off-and-on romantic relationship with Ken Carson, owns numerous animals, and has developed many friends. She has had a great 50 years.

3. Jennifer Aniston: Always classy Jennifer looked great alongside John Mayer in her platinum beaded Valentino gown. With her amazing body, the tight strapless dress looked marvelous and deserves recognition.

2. Natalie Portman: Beautiful Natalie stood out last night as she wore a bright fuchsia strapless Rodarte gown. With her sequined dress, she definitely sparkled on the red carpet.

1. Angelina Jolie: Gorgeous Angelina Jolie wins our vote for best dressed at the fashion-centric Academy Awards. Back in black, she elegantly wore a strapless long Elie Saab gown with a leg slit that had a sheer mysterious overlay. Her bold emerald green earrings and ring definitely topped off her ensemble. She was absolutely stunning. And the Oscar for Best Dress goes to… Angelina Jolie!
