808707_pizzaIf you love pizza, but you don’t love the price tag of take out, you need to learn how to make pizza at home. There are a number of different crusts you can choose when you make homemade pizza. My favorite three crusts to make pizza at home would include English muffin pizzas, flatbread pizzas and actual pizza with fresh dough. Regardless of what you crust you choose, the way you cook them is the same. You prepare your crust, add a layer of sauce and a layer of cheese. Then, you add toppings and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees. If you use regular crust you need a pizza pan or  a baking sheet. The baking sheet should be coated with cooking spray. If you use English muffins or flatbreads there is no need to spray the baking sheet because they won’t stick. Making pizza at home can be fun, you can try different toppings and crusts. Plus, if you have kids they can help you prepare the pizzas and kids love to cook.

I had never thought about using an English Muffin as a base for a pizza. I’ve used bagels before (love bagel pizza!) but this sounds interesting.
