deb31766e8b5eba363faa797be5cd04bFat burners may be fatal! The FDA has announced that 14 Hydroxycut products are being voluntarily recalled by supplement company. The recall comes after 23 reports of serious liver damage, as a result of product use were filed. The damage ranged from jaundice of the liver, to death, and a liver transplant in one of the cases. The recalled products include the following:

  • Hydroxycut Regular Rapid Release Caplets
  • Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Rapid Release Caplets
  • Hydroxycut Hardcore Liquid Caplets
  • Hydroxycut Max Liquid Caplets
  • Hydroxycut Regular Drink Packets
  • Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Drink Packets
  • Hydroxycut Hardcore Drink Packets (Ignition Stix)
  • Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets
  • Hydroxycut Liquid Shots
  • Hydroxycut Hardcore RTDs (Ready-to-Drink)
  • Hydroxycut Max Aqua Shed
  • Hydroxycut 24
  • Hydroxycut Carb Control
  • Hydroxycut Natural

Hydroxycut Cleanse and Hoodia products were not on the recall list. Although the FDA has not isolated the ingredient that is causing the problem, they do know that the Hydroxycut products recalled are causing elevated liver enzymes that have lead to damage and failure. Some patients also experienced heart problems, seizures, kidney failure and severe muscle damage. Products can be returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
